Pančevo Jazz Festival Unveils 27th Edition

The renowned Pančevo Jazz Festival is back, and this year’s 27th edition promises to be one of the most exciting yet. Running from November 1st to 3rd, 2024, the festival will bring premier jazz artists to the stage, offering a diverse mix of performances that span various jazz traditions and innovations.

Taking place in the Dvorana KCP (Cultural Center Hall), the festival will kick off with an unforgettable opening night featuring Shai Maestro, whose intimate solo piano performance will mesmerize the audience with his fusion of contemporary jazz and more traditional musical influences. Following him, vocalist Robin McKelle will enchant the crowd with her tribute to the great Ella Fitzgerald in her new project Impressions of Ella, blending jazz, soul, and gospel.

The excitement continues on November 2nd, with Tsombanis 4, led by saxophonist Anna Tsombanis and her unique ensemble featuring two double bass players. Later in the evening, Italian trumpet maestro Fabrizio Bosso and his quartet will celebrate the music of Stevie Wonder with their captivating show, We Wonder.

Serbia will be represented by Soul Matrix, a Pancevo-based ensemble known for their vibrant fusion of jazz and funk, who will perform on November 3rd. The festival will close with the iconic David Murray Quartet, led by the legendary tenor saxophonist David Murray, known for his revolutionary work in avant-garde and traditional jazz.
